New Firmware for the Linksys and Ubiquiti Products!

Many Hams were concerned about future Broadband-Hamnet support of the Linksys units; the core team has listened to these concerns and has decided to continue support of Linksys devices.

Broadband-Hamnet has a new release of Ham-oriented data networking firmware for the Linksys and Ubiquiti products!

March 17th and Techie Night


The program started off with two guest speakers from Access 2 Networks. Jeremiah teaches computers and programming at Sheridan in his spare time. Patrick’s main hobby is building with micro processors and teams up with Jeremiah on projects… at present they are building a 3D plotter for PC boards and also fabricate their own boxes with a 3D fiber printer.


Patrick showed his Arduino micro processor he fitted into a USB housing. Wow! He just inserts it into the PC USB port and programs it. See photos. Also, his Raspberry PI 2 and some projects using them. Jeremiah demonstrated various ways to make PC boards with samples he made. He brought also supplies he used.

It was a very informative evening with a lot of interest.

Brass Pounder & Wave Rider Social

A social dinner, get together, has been organized for April 14, 2015. Members of the Burlington, Guelph and Hamilton Amateur Radio Clubs are invited to attend. A flyer has been produced and is available for viewing here.

“Circuit Boards the easy way”. Low voltage indicator. Only requires the monitored battery voltage. Use of a comparator IC. Turns on an LED when battery drops to 11 volts. You will make the circuit board and install the parts. $5.00
